About Me
Most people would describe me as down to earth and while I maintain professionalism, I am authentically me. (At this point, it would be difficult not to be authentic.) I love streaming movies and shows and I’m a huge foodie. Some of my favorite self-care activities are going to the beach, spending time with family or friends, and cuddling my pets. I am a little silly, a lot of fun, and have a tender heart.
In a world where it can be hard to be seen and heard, I will create that safe haven for you. I have not found a more rewarding challenge than supporting my clients through their growth, sometimes it even feels magical to me. Therapy is a very personal experience, and I want everyone who comes to me for support to know they’re accepted for exactly who they are. After all, I am a human too, along with bad habits like drinking from the carton!
I will unconditionally see the best in you, even if you are having a hard time doing that yourself. My goal is to support you while healing those old wounds because it can be tough and seem impossible to do alone. My approach is rooted in empathy, understanding, and a deep appreciation of identity that shapes each individual’s lived experience. By creating a safe, affirming, and non-judgmental space, I strive to foster a therapeutic environment in which my clients can explore, honor, and build a renewed sense of self that aligns with their inner truth.

Competent and Compassionate
I’ve honed my skills over the course of my professional experience, having completed several years of specialized training. My professional development includes being published in various works, being an editor for and contributor to textbooks and workbooks, and serving as the Admin for Tele-PLAY, a therapist resource and support group on Facebook with 40,000+ members. I have also worked as a trainer and mentor for Marriage and Family Therapist interns because I enjoy supporting aspiring counselors in developing skills that emphasize unconditional compassion.
I graduated from San Diego State University in 2010 Cum Laude. I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with Cum Laude recognition from National University. My primary goal is working from a trauma informed lens, so I am also an Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) trained therapist. I’m proud to be a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, as well as the Association for Play Therapy. I am currently working on my registered Play Therapist Certification and I am always on the lookout for new information since I love learning.
Working together we can encourage helpful thoughts and actions to strengthen your well-being. I provide empathy, motivation, and the tools needed to love your whole self and live your authentic life. Let’s get started… together!
